We were briefed to come up with a name and design an identity that would appeal to the young, moving away from the stiff identities normally designed for such IT related projects. The idea is to show teenagers in schools that there is more to a future in IT than sitting behind a desk, or wires and servers.
Hence the creation of the ‘doodle’ screen with wings, and a burst of colour. The doodles were included to make it feel more real and tactile, less cold.
Since this identity was to feature strongly online, it was created in a ‘2D space’, making it animateable, and allowing for depth and movement in the visuals. A colour-coded system, with bespoke icons was also created for the various initiatives within the project.
