What started as a very simple brief to ‘break the norm of local insurance advertising, and have fun with it’, was to turn into an iconic advertising campaign that was the source of inspiration for meme’s, political satire and carnival costumes.
Local Insurance advertising was always serious, and stiff. We wanted to add a bit of comedy to the industry. What better way than to show the ‘Bubblewrap family’ finding life very difficult because they would rather save money on insurance and live a bubblewrapped life?
The line for the campaign ‘There are easier ways to get yourself covered’, says it all.
